Causes and Treatment Plans for Stomatitis in Cats
Feline Chronic Gingivostomatitis (FCGS) is an immune‑mediated oral inflammatory disorder in cats, mainly caused by feline calicivirus, microbial dysbiosis and immune dysregulation. It has two clinical types with different prognoses. Partial or full‑mouth extraction is the first‑line treatment, effective in 70%–80% of cases. Refractory cases can be treated with cyclosporine, molnupiravir, laser therapy and stem cell therapy. Inactivated vaccines in stable stages help reduce risks. Comprehensive treatment significantly relieves pain and improves quality of life.
The cat is yowling
The vocalization behavior of domestic cats (*Felis catus*) represents an extremely unique phenomenon in biological evolutionary history. Research indicates that adult domestic cats rarely use "meowing" for intraspecific communication in natural social settings; instead, they rely more on body language, scent marking, and high-frequency short-range acoustic signals. The complex vocalization system exhibited by modern domestic cats is largely a product of co-evolution with humans, designed to transcend species boundaries to obtain resources, security, and social interaction . This acoustic evolution enables cats to precisely convey various messages to humans—from simple greetings to urgent physiological needs—by altering the frequency, duration, and intensity of their vocalizations .
Pet Diet
At the intersection of modern veterinary medicine and animal nutrition, pet food is shifting from standardized industrial production to personalized home-made diets. With growing demand for greater transparency, higher-quality ingredients and tailored health solutions, home-prepared pet diets have attracted extensive attention from both academia and industry.Based on research data, formulation principles, nutritional requirements and safety protocols, this report provides theoretical support and practical guidance for home-prepared diets for cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters and other companion animals.
Cat behavior analysis
This report aims to strip away human subjective perspectives and establish a behavioral analysis framework based on biological facts.Domestic cats retain the strong territorial awareness and solitary hunting habits of their ancestor, the African wildcat (Felis lybica). However, during thousands of years of semi-domestication, they have demonstrated social flexibility in adapting to high-density human communities¹. Through the objective recording of 117 discrete behaviors (Ethogram), we can observe how domestic cats conduct chemical communication, manage social boundaries, and cope with internal stress in complex three-dimensional spaces⁴. This analysis is of profound scientific significance for understanding conflicts in multi-cat households, assessing welfare in indoor environments, and facilitating interspecies communication.
